Introduction to Physics, v1.1 (a.k.a., Concepts of Physics, 2e)

I don’t think I posted an update here, so here’s a brief summary. On September 17, LibreTexts made textbook-breaking changes to the conceptual physics textbook I originally curated on the old CNX platform. Over that weekend, I (whenever I say “I” or “we” here, often it can be read as “Codex and I”) recovered what was backed up by OpenStax to GitHub and published a working version. And for about a month since then, I have been working on an updated version (finally using this chance to finish the work that was interrupted when CNX retirement was announced in 2020), which is now published and available at intro.coaphys.xyz.

I am happy about this version for a number of reasons; I’ll be immediately switching to this in all the places I can, and I have a long-term plan for switching the chapter and section numbering to the original scheme (and even longer-term plan to maybe consider an “energy-first” conceptual physics textbook).

Oh, and I’m calling the overall project/repository “Concepts of Physics, 2e” as a nod to the origin of the collection (as a derived collection from Bobby Bailey’s Concepts of Physics), and now the process of forking the OpenStax GitHub project name after Bobby Bailey’s collection (one of the branches in that repo was my textbook).
